Bette

Born in 1935 in Quebec, Bette attended the IUSMM workshop from 1994 to 2000.

Bette has spent part of her life in an institution. She paints in gouache portraits, flowers and especially animals: birds, fish, wild beasts, etc. With a delicate line, she creates a veritable bestiary in which all species are represented. Most of the time, the motif is represented alone, in the center of the page, without modeling or perspective. Her works are in her image: quiet, delicate and impactful.
